4-1 Image Folder Window

The Image Folder Window displays all images that are included in the selected folder. Simply drag and drop an image anywhere onto a page spread or into a layout template on the page.

4-1-1 Basic Menu

New Folder - Opens a new image folder window.
Go to Subfolders - View and select a subfolder or the parent folder of the current image folder.
Select Folder - Opens a browser window to search for and select desired image folder.
Sort Options - Sorts image files by file name, file size or captured date.
Sort Direction - Sorts the image files alphabetically either ascending or decending.
Adjust Thumbnail Size - Changes the size of the image thumbnails.

4-1-2 Right-Click

Edit With - Gives a list of options of applications to open the image in for editing.
Get Info - Gives information about the image.

4-1-3 Options Menu

Select Image Folder - Opens a browser window to search for and select desired image folder.
Reveal in Finder - Shows the image folder in a finder window.
Sort Options - Sorts image files by file name, file size or captured date.
Sort Direction - Sorts the image files alphabetically either ascending or decending.
Edit With - Gives a list of options of applications to open the image in for editing.
Refresh - Updates the image folder to its current condition.
Get Info - Gives information about the image.
Open Recent - Shows recent folders to reopen.

4-2 Pages Window

Thumbnails are displayed for each page spread. Double-click on a thumbnail or right-click and select 'Open' to open the spread. You can have multiple spreads open at one time.

4-2-1 Basic Menu

AlbumLayout Proof Sync - Shows the status of design synced or not to the AlbumLayout Proof site and gives the syncing options.
AlbumLayout Website - Launches the AlbumLayout online proofing site.
Adjust Thumbnail Size - Changes the size of the pages thumbnails.

4-2-1 Right-Click and Options Menu

Open - Open selected spread.
Copy - Copy the contents of the selected spread.
Paste - Paste the contents of the copied spread.
Copy Guides - Copy the Guides found on the selected spread.
Paste Guides - Paste the Guides copied from a spread.
Clear - Remove the contents of the spread.
Export - Export the document as an AsukaBook Maker page.
Replace - Replace with Page file or JPEG file.
Save as Layout Template - Save the layout as a template to reuse. The template will be displayed in on your Templates Menu.
Close - Close the Spread Window.

4-3 Templates Window

The Templates Window displays a list of layout templates available to use, both default and custom saved templates. Simply drag and drop a template onto a spread and drag images into the layout areas to complete the layout.

4-3-1 Basic Menu

Select Collections - Select the collection of templates to view.
Number of boxes - Select the desired number of template areas.
Undo Templates - Removes any templates found on the active spread.
Flip Horizontal - Flips the templates in the template window horizontally.
Flip Vertical - Flips the templates in the template window vertically.
Adjust Thumbnail Size - Changes the size of the template thumbnails.

4-3-2 Right-Click

Add to My Favorites - Adds the selected template to user's favorite templates.
Delete - Deletes the template from the template options.

4-3-3 Options Menu

Reallocate image to new templates - When turned on, any image in design area will auto place in to any template you drag and drop in the design area. When turned off, template will become a new layer separate from any previously placed image.
Add to My Favorites - Adds the selected template to user's favorite templates.
Flip Horizontal - Flips the templates in the template window horizontally.
Flip Vertical - Flips the templates in the template window vertically.
Undo Templates - Removes any templates found on the active spread.
Collections - Select the collection of templates to view.
Reveal in Finder - Shows template files in the finder window.
Refresh - Refresh to default orientation.
Delete - Deletes the template from the template options.

4-4 Sloppy Borders Window

The Sloppy Borders Window displays the Sloppy Borders available for free in AsukaBook Maker. These Sloppy Borders are courtesy of Kevin Kubota, Kubota Image Tools. Simply drag and drop a Sloppy Border on an image to apply.

4-4-1 Basic Menu

Color Picker - Select the desired color of the Sloppy Border before applying it to an image.
Select Collections - Filter the list to view all or by heavy, mids or thin.
Undo Sloppy Borders - Removes selected Sloppy Border from the image.
Adjust Thumbnail Size - Changes the size of the sloppy border thumbnails.

4-4-2 Right-Click

Delete - Deletes the Sloppy Border from the Sloppy Border options.

4-4-3 Options Menu

Color Picker - Select the desired color of the Sloppy Border before applying it to an image.
Undo Sloppy Borders - Removes selected Sloppy Border from the image.
Collections - Filter the list to view all or by heavy, mids or thin.
Reveal in Finder - Shows the Sloppy Border in the finder window.
Refresh - Refresh to default.
Delete - Deletes the Sloppy Borders from the Sloppy Borders options.

4-5 Masks Window

The Masks Window displays all masks available for free from AsukaBook Maker. Simply drag and drop a mask onto an image to apply.

 

4-5-1 Basic Menu

Select Collections - Filter the list.
Undo Mask - Removes selected mask from the image.
Adjust Thumbnail Size - Changes the size of the mask thumbnails.

4-5-2 Right-Click

Delete - Deletes the Sloppy Border from the Sloppy Border options.

4-5-3 Options Menu

Undo Mask - Removes selected Mask from the image.
Collections - Filter the list.
Reveal in Finder - Shows the Mask in the finder window.
Refresh - Refresh to default.
Delete - Deletes the mask from the mask options.

4-6 Backgrounds Window

The Backgrounds Window displays all backgrounds available for free from AsukaBook Maker. Simply drag and drop a background onto any page to apply.

Select Collections - Filter the list.
Undo Background - Removes selected background from the design.
Adjust Thumbnail Size - Changes the size of the backgrounds thumbnails.

4-6-2 Right-Click

Delete - Deletes the background from the background options.

Undo Background - Removes selected background from the image.
Collections - Filter the list.
Reveal in Finder - Shows the background in the finder window.
Refresh - Refresh to default.
Delete - Deletes the background from the background options.

4-7 Illustrations Window

The Masks Window displays all masks available for free from AsukaBook Maker. Simply drag and drop a illustration onto the design area to apply.

Select Collections - Filter the list.
Undo Background - Removes selected illustration from the design.
Adjust Thumbnail Size - Changes the size of the illustrations thumbnails.

4-7-2 Right-Click

Delete - Deletes the illustration from the illustration options.

4-7-3 Options Menu

Undo Illustration - Removes selected illustration from the design.
Collections - Filter the list.
Reveal in Finder - Shows the illustration in the finder window.
Refresh - Refresh to default.
Delete - Deletes the illustration from the illustration options.

4-8 Organizer Window

The Organizer Window displays the images allocated to each design spread using the Organizer design tool.

 

4-8-1 Basic Menu

Select Spread - Select the spread to view.
Open Organizer - Launches the Organizer design tool.
Select Sort Option - Changes file data to sort by.
Sort Direction - Sorts the image files alphabetically either ascending or decending based on selected sort option.
Adjust Thumbnail Size - Changes the size of the illustrations thumbnails.

Delete Selected File - Deletes the image from the Organizer Menu.
Open With - Gives a list of options of applications to open the image in for editing.

Page - Removes selected background from the image.
Sort Options - Filter the list.
Sort Direction - Sorts the image files alphabetically either ascending or decending based on selected sort option.
Delete Selected File - Deletes the image from the Organizer Menu.

Refresh - Refresh to default.
