7-1 Images Tab
7-1-1 Custom Design/Auto Layout
Images tab displays all images that have been selected from a folder or all images from a folder that was dragged into the image pallet from a location on the computer. Simply drag and drop an image into the design area or into a layout template.
Select Folder
This button is used to open a new folder of images to be displayed in the image pallet.
Show/Hide Used Images
Images that have been placed in the design will be marked with a red star as used. This button is used to hide or display the images that are marked.
7-1-2 Organizer
In Organizer, the Images tab displays the images that have been allocated to each spread. Layout templates equal to the number of images are displayed as well. You can also easily switch to other page spreads with the 'Select Pages' pull-down menu.
Previous
You can return to the Organizer to change the image allocation.
Select Pages
This pull-down menu is used to select a page spread to view. The selected spread will be displayed along with the corresponding allocated images and layout templates.
Show/Hide Used Images

Layout Template Options
Used to automatically display layout template options that have layout areas that are equal to the amount of images that have been allocated to that corresponding page. Select an appropriate layout template and simply drag and drop it onto the spread.
Layout Template Button
This button will open a search window to browse all available layout templates. You can also search templates based on criteria.
7-2 Pages Tab
Thumbnails are displayed for each page spread. When a thumbnail is selected, that spread is displayed.
You can also interchange different pages.
By right clicking on a thumbnail, you can edit the following details.
7-2-1 Delete
Used to delete all changes made to a spread and to return it to its original condition as a blank template. The spread itself is not deleted.
7-2-2 Save Layout Template
Used to convert all images on a spread into a custom layout template. Saved layout templates can be found in the 'Custom' layout templates pallet in the Layout Template Tab.
7-2-3 Save Spread as a JPEG
Used to export the spread as a JPEG and save it outside of AsukaBook Maker. You can also create original backgrounds by loading the JPEG images you have saved.
7-3 Layout Template Tab
The Layout Template tab displays a list of custom and preset layout templates available to use. Simply drag and drop templates into the design area on a page and and drag images into the layout areas to complete the layouot.
7-3-2 Select Group
This pull-down menu allows you to select what templates to view in the pallet.
1. Preset
Free layout templates provided by AsukaBook.
2. Custom
Layout templates created and saved by the user.

7-3-2 Search Layout Templates
Click on the 'Show Layout Templates' button to open the "List of Layout Templates" to search and browse templates available. Select the template you want to use in this window, and then either drop them into the design area or click the 'OK' to apply it to the page.
7-3-4 Search Options
This pull-down can be used to browse layout templates based on orientation of layout areas in the templates, number of layout areas, and all templates.
The number of layout templates varies according to the search option selected.
The default setting is "Show All".
- Show All: All layout templates are displayed.
- Vertical and/or Horizontal: Searches for templates based on the number of selected vertical, horizontal, and square areas.
- Number of Layout: Searches for templates based on the number of layout areas selected.
7-3-5 Search - Spread Type
This pull-down menu can be used to browse layout templates based on the type of spread. The type that is currently being designed is set automatically by default.
- All: Used to search for all types of spreads.
- Covers: Used to search only layout templates for cover spreads.
- Single Pages: Used to search only layout templates for single page spreads.
- Page Spreads: Used to search only layout templates for two-page spreads.
7-4 Sloppy Border Tab
The Sloppy Borders tab displays the Sloppy Borders available for free AsukaBook Maker. These Sloppy Borders are courtesy of Kevin Kubota, Kubota Image Tools. Simply drag and drop a Sloppy Border on an image to apply.
7-4-1 Refine Search
This pull-down can be used to select "Thin", Medium", "Fat", or "all" Sloppy Borders to be displayed.browse layout templates based on orientation of layout areas in the templates, number of layout areas, and all templates.
The default setting is "All".
