AsukaBook Maker has a simple and easy to use interface. Various functions are conveniently grouped together and are accessible with the click of a button. In addition, inserting images and layouts, as well as applying masks and Sloppy Borders, can be done quickly by dragging and dropping in the design area. AsukaBook Maker provides rulers, guides, and a grid to assist in laying out a balanced design. There are also many image enhancement tools included, or you may open an image in Photoshop® with the click of a button for further image alteration. Best of all, you can create and save design templates to reuse when creating new book layouts.

The extensive variety of convenient functions included in the software will allow you to meticulously create your best photo books yet!

Primary Functions of AsukaBook Maker

Select from 3 Editing Options

You may choose "Custom Design", which allows for complete design freedom, "Auto Layout", which allows you to quickly create a basic proof book layout, or "Organizer", which allows you to allocate images to a page and select from corresponding layout templates. Choose the design option that best suits you!

Simply Drag your Images into the Image Palett

You can drag a folder of images from your desktop, or other folder, directly into the Image Palett in AsukaBook Maker. You may browse for folders of images or individual images as well.

Many Preset Layout Templates

There are over 200 preset layout templates provided for free! Just drag a layout template onto a spread and drag images into the layout areas. Images are automatically resized and arranged according to the size of the layout template while preserving the aspect ratio. There is also a layout template search function for finding a layout template that matches the number or orientation of the images you want to arrange.

Arrange Images & Apply Enhancements Simply by Drag & Drop

Drag the images from your image palett into the design area. You can freely arrange the images or you may drag a layout template onto the spread to drop your images into. Once you have arranged the images as desired, you may drag masks or Sloppy Borders onto the image to frame and complete the image and design.

Many Image Editing and Design Tools and Functions

In addition to basic functions such as rotate, crop, insert text, create shapes and define background color, advanced features such as keylines, drop shadows, brightness, Color-Toned Monochrome (created with Kubota Image Tools Actions), Fade Image Into..., masks, and 10 of Kevin Kubota's Sloppy Borders are also available.

Create Your Own Reusable Design Templates

This is a must-see for anyone who is too busy taking photographs to find the time for laying out a book! You can save book design templates you have created, and then reuse the templates by simply replacing the images in the layout with new images. To change photos, simply drag and drop the new images on top of the existing ones. This allows for easy creation of consistent, well-designed photo books.

Preview Your Design like Flipping through a Book

You can click on the 'Preview' button at any time when designing to see the progress of the design and to review the finished book layout.

Open Images in Photoshop® & Apply Actions

You may enhance your images and layout your book simultaneously. With the click of the 'Open in Photoshop?' button in AsukaBook Maker, the image will open in Photoshop for further color correction and image enhancements. Once the image is saved, the image will be updated in the AsukaBook Maker design. You can also save your list of Photoshop Actions into AsukaBook Maker. Simply clicking on the desired action will open the image and run the action on the image in Photoshop.
